Chloe, daughter of the well-known artist and designer Bernard Cheese, studied at the Royal College of Art and achieved early recognition as a designer and illustrator.

She has had frequent solo exhibitions of her work related to ideas in print making and has been an influential force in the world of graphic illustration, much of which originates from her practice of in this medium.

The prints published by Curwen include images drawn on grained zinc plate often treating still life or architectural subjects in her individual style; but she has also produced images in lithographic stone which have been hand coloured as a final treatment. Lucky Fish, Clockwork Bear & Wooden Toys and Straw Hat & Gloves exemplify this.
