In 1993, Sheeran Lock Fine Art Consultants commissioned Bernard Dunstan RA and the Master Printer Stanley Jones of The Curwen Studio to produce a series of lithographs which, along with preparatory studies and printing materials, would form a didactic exhibition to promote greater understanding and awareness of the art and craft of lithography. Bernard Dunstan chose as his subject different aspects at the Royal Academy of Arts today, and completed his work on the four new colour lithographs in November 1994: Musicians in the Courtyard; Private View; Friends Room and The Royal Academy Life Room.
