Studied at Edinburgh School of Art and The Slade School of Fine Art, University College, London.

A distinguished career as a sculptor - teaching and exhibiting in the UK and abroad culminating in the recent foundation of a museum in Edinburgh devoted to his work.

He has produced a body of graphic work, mostly in silkscreen.
