The youngest in a large family he used his artistic skills to keep himself occupied. When he moved to Cardiff he considered going to art school but decided against it and helped his mother develop an art & craft shop. An old church opposite their shop, which had been derelict for 30 years, became available for sale and they spent 3 years restoring it to become a thriving gallery and framing business alongside their art & craft business. Inkspot is well known in Cardiff for high quality framing and materials and is used by The National Museum of Wales amongst others.

Andrew experimented with many mediums before settling for acrylics, which suit his style. The Betrothed is the first image that has been made into a print. Having worked in the studio alongside our printmakers, he is keen to explore original printmaking in the future.
